"Mmm... Yeah, that checks out. Good on you for beating the living crap out of them, though. I knew I picked a good Santa. A little more practice, and I'm sure you can take on the big bad in no time."
He looked proud, both of Koko and of himself. Merlin always had a knack for finding potential, after all.
"Evil Santa. That's the best way I can put it," the mage shrugged. "I suppose not even Santa can resist the temptation of predatory capitalism. He'll do the bare minimum to keep this whole Christmas business afloat, disregarding the wellbeing of his elves. That's why I need you to knock some sense into him like you did to those tin cans."
Merlin, too, moved towards the Sno-Oni , giving it a closer look and whistling at the craftsmanship that went into it. Was this an abstract sculpture? It sure looked like it to him. Though he can't help but believe that a santa hat would be a nice added touch, and so, with a flick of his hand, made a red fluffy hat appear on its head as well.
"It's more a matter of if I want to rather than if I can. You Chaldeans won't improve if I coddle you too much, after all. You need to challenge yourselves!"
